PRIDE
at the College of Business at the University of Southern Mississippi*
Our core mission reflects taking PRIDE in all we do - Professionalism, Respect, Integrity, Discipline, Excellence
D. Harold Doty, Dean, College of Business
University of Southern Mississippi
“Education encourages and advances the ideals of a pluralistic democratic society: civic responsibility, integrity, diversity, and ethical behavior. . . .
We make efficient and effective use of our resources, for we are accountable to our university communities, the Board of Trustees, and taxpayers.”

In reviewing this website, I noted that numerous links to the USM website no longer work. It appears that the pages have been removed from the University servers. If you would like to see the documents as they appeared on the USM website at the time the pages in USMPride were created, please feel free to contact me.
FINDING THE TRUTH ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY AND ITS BOOZE ACCOUNTS
“The students, faculty (i.e, any person hired to conduct classroom activities or research at the university), and administrators of the College of Business (CoB) recognize that honesty and integrity are fundamental expectations in the academic and business communities.”
http://www.usm.edu/business/students/acad_policy.html
These are honorable sentiments, but does our University administration view them as anything more than public relations claims? Or, is the truth closer to Dr. Doty’s claims that the Foundation is nothing more than an administrative “booze account?” (Click for next page)
One purpose of USMPride is to provide publicly available information of interest to the University community. Today we are providing schedules of College of Business pay raises and research information used in evaluations in a format that is easy to access and review. I look forward to recieving your comments and corrections. My thanks to those who have assembled this information.
UPDATE: JULY 11, 2006 -- We have posted additional documents concerning "equity" pay raises at the College of Business. As additional information/corrections is provided, I will share it with board readers.
