Pride
At the College of Business of the University of Southern Mississippi*
*From the point of view of one full professor
The College of Business adopted an Integrity Policy which begins as follows: "The students, faculty (i.e, any person hired to conduct classroom activities or research at the university), and administrators of the College of Business (CoB) recognize that honesty and integrity are fundamental expectations in the academic and business communities. Accordingly, we hereby establish this Policy to be adhered to by all CoB administrators, faculty, and students."

Patty Polk Munn wrote me on, February 15, 2000:

“What we meant is for you to stop this ridiculous, cruel, and disruptive process and get a life. Patty [Polk Munn].”

A question addressed on this website is how do faculty and administrators apply the integrity policy to their own professional behavior.
As I told Ms. Munn at the time, her email claim of "Ridiculous, cruel, and disruptive” misses the point. The point is, were my concerns true? That’s why I called for a for a finding of fact.
